U.S. Troops Clash With Insurgents in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -- U.S. helicopter gunships fired on militiamen loyal to
Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr in the holy city of Najaf on Friday, the second
day of fighting there, witnesses said.
